about

By late May all the avian summer visitors have arrived and the human ones are starting to enjoy the experience of waking up early with the northern sun streaming through the bedroom windows. Outside nature has been awake for a few hours, the tapestry of sound from the resident birds like the Blackbird, Song Thrush and Skylark mingle with those sometimes strange and different sounds from the summer visitors like the Sedge Warbler, Cuckoo and, of course, the Corncrake.

If you do manage to get your head off the pillow, and get out in the open air, you will be rewarded by finding yourself surrounded by the sounds of summer to come.
