Enjoying a walk along the wave edge on larger beaches, you will notice the waves arriving and breaking in a continually changing pattern. Sometimes they break from left to right and then right to left and every now and then completely symmetrically, you just cannot predict how they will go. Every now and then a much larger wave comes, and you have to quickly rush landward to avoid a soaking. Great fun.

Walking along the strand edge dodging the waves, while listening to the magnificent natural sound of them crashing onto the beach, and the spray being blown into your face is one of the most uplifting pastimes here on the islands.
